Following David Bigmore's retirement on the 30th September 2019, Owen White Solicitors are dealing with all enquiries.

David Bigmore trained at Coward Chance (now Clifford Chance) and has always specialised in commercial and corporate law with many internationally based clients.

From 1986 David has specialised in Franchising and Franchise-related matters and since that time, has been involved in all aspects of Franchising. David Bigmore appears in all of the principal directories of leading lawyers in the UK including:

- Legal Experts: 2015

- The Legal 500: 2015

- Chambers Guide to the UK Legal Profession: 2015

David was the Specialist Advisor to the British Franchise Association (“BFA”) on the Trading Schemes Act 1996 and negotiated the provision of the Act with the Government.   He was also an original member of the BFA’s Legal Committee which advises BFA on important legal matters affecting Franchising.

Whilst the firm deals with franchising all over the world and has prestigious offices in London, David lives and works mostly from a picturesque village just outside Chester, an old Roman city in the North West of England.

The firm has a very successful association with the City of London firm, Goodman Derrick LLP and is therefore able to provide a full service to all franchising clients in respect of all areas of law.   Goodman Derrick is a firm of thirty-one partners and has a total of over one-hundred members of staff.
